Join us at Hurtwood Hideout for a morning of informal networking over coffee, followed by the opportunity to get out on the trails for a guided mountain bike ride.
It’s a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the outdoors together and try something a little different. Whether you are a regular cyclist or simply keen to give it a go, the morning offers a friendly way to meet other members, share ideas and experience one of our member businesses in a beautiful part of the Surrey Hills.
The morning
9:30am to 11:00am — coffee, informal networking and an introduction to Hurtwood Hideout. Members can purchase their own coffee, with cakes and biscuits available.
11:00am to 12:00pm — optional guided mountain bike ride led by Natty Hall, a qualified MTB guide. The ride will last approximately one hour and will be tailored to the experience and confidence of the group, so you do not need to be an experienced mountain biker to take part.
Members who would prefer not to cycle are very welcome to join us for the networking part of the morning only.
Important Information about Cycling
Hire bikes are available on a first come, first served basis, subject to availability, at a special SHE member rate of £25. Payment can be made directly to Just Pedal on the day.
Members are also welcome to bring their own mountain bike, provided it is in good working order. If anyone isn’t confident that their bike is ready for an MTB ride, they could always book it into the Just Pedal Workshop beforehand to get it checked over.
A properly fitting helmet is essential for the ride. Helmets can be provided if required.
Please come prepared for typical November conditions and expect to get muddy. We recommend suitable clothing, flat soled trainers, a water resistant layer and gloves.
The ride will go ahead in light rain, but may need to be cancelled in the event of strong winds or other unsafe conditions.
Anyone wishing to take part in the cycling must complete the Cycling Participation Form before the event.
Weather
We’ll make a sensible decision based on the weather and trail conditions nearer the event. If the cycling element needs to be cancelled due to unsafe conditions, the coffee and networking will still go ahead.
We look forward to seeing you for a relaxed morning of conversation, connection and, for those joining the ride, a little Surrey Hills adventure.
