What does Proudly Surrey Hills mean?
Proudly Surrey Hills is about more than where an organisation is based.
Our members include organisations within the Surrey Hills and others with a strong economic connection to the area. What brings them together is a shared commitment to the Surrey Hills and a willingness to contribute positively to its future.

Eligibility
Who can be Proudly Surrey Hills?
Proudly Surrey Hills is available to all eligible members of Surrey Hills Enterprises, including sole traders, businesses, charities and other organisations.
Our membership is deliberately diverse. It includes sole traders, food and drink producers, hospitality and visitor businesses, retailers, makers, professional services, charities, community organisations and larger employers.
Members don't necessarily have to be physically based within the Surrey Hills. What matters is that they have a genuine connection to the area and an interest in contributing to a thriving, sustainable Surrey Hills economy.
Shared responsibility
What are members committing to?
Being Proudly Surrey Hills comes with a shared responsibility.
We ask members to support the principles that underpin the Surrey Hills Enterprises community and to consider how their organisation can make a positive contribution through the way it operates, collaborates and engages with the Surrey Hills.
That contribution will look different for different organisations.
Producers
For a producer, it might mean strengthening local supply chains.
Hospitality
For a hotel or hospitality business, it could mean championing local food, drink and experiences.
Professional services
For a professional services business, it might mean sharing expertise or supporting other members.
Larger organisations
For a larger organisation, it could include local procurement, volunteering, partnerships or support for community initiatives.

Surrey Hills Enterprises works closely with Surrey Hills National Landscape and is part of the wider Surrey Hills family alongside Surrey Hills Society and Surrey Hills Arts.
Our role is focused on organisations and the rural economy, helping build the connections, opportunities and collaborations that support a thriving and sustainable Surrey Hills.

Proudly Surrey Hills is our shared member mark. It isn't a ranking between members.
From 2027, Surrey Hills Enterprises plans to introduce a new Surrey Hills Awards programme recognising outstanding member achievements in areas including sustainability, community and collaboration.
More details will be announced in 2027.
