Member publication
The Guide to the Surrey Hills
The annual Guide to the Surrey Hills is printed in a run of 10,000 copies and distributed across the area through visitor destinations, farm shops, venues, hotels and attractions, alongside an interactive digital edition. Members receive a free entry, putting their organisation in front of residents and visitors all year round.

Membership fees are based on the size and type of your organisation. All rates are per year and subject to VAT. Every option includes the same core member benefits.
Business membership
Business membership: 1–5 employees
Businesses and sole traders with one to five employees.
£300 + VAT

Business membership: 6–20 employees
Businesses with six to twenty employees.
£425 + VAT

Eligibility and applying
Who can join and how membership works
Organisations need a genuine connection to the Surrey Hills and a commitment to our five membership standards. Every application is considered by the Membership Committee.
Eligibility
- A business, sole trader, charity, community organisation or other organisation.
- A genuine connection to the Surrey Hills, shown through your work, people, customers, supply chain, land, community activity or contribution to the area.
- Willingness to make the Surrey Hills member pledge at application.
- Agreement to the membership terms and to keeping your organisation details up to date.
The Member Pledge
If approved as a member, we pledge to:
- be a positive and active supporter of the Surrey Hills, its businesses, communities and landscape
- promote and support local products, services, experiences and organisations where practical and commercially viable
- look for realistic ways to reduce our environmental impact and improve our responsible and sustainable business practices
- maintain high standards of quality, honesty and professionalism
- be open and accurate about our products, services, sourcing and sustainability
- take part, collaborate and contribute to the SHE community where we can
- use the Proudly Surrey Hills member mark correctly and in a way that protects its reputation
- treat fellow members, the SHE team, partners and the public with respect

Eligible members — including sole traders, businesses, charities and other organisations — can use the Proudly Surrey Hills member mark to show their belonging to Surrey Hills Enterprises and their connection and commitment to the Surrey Hills. It is not an award, accreditation or quality certification.
