About Squire's Garden Centres
Squire's Garden Centres is a family-owned horticultural business with garden centres across Surrey, Sussex, Berkshire, and North and West London.
Founded by D.J. Squire in 1936 as a landscape gardening business, it opened one of the UK's first garden centres in Twickenham in 1964. It remains in the Squire family, with Colin Squire OBE still involved and his daughter Sarah Squire as Chairman.
Alongside plants, garden products and café bars, Squire's runs a year-round programme of workshops for all ages and supports local charities chosen each year by staff at its centres. In 2022 it acquired Barnsfold Nurseries, a long-standing supplier, returning to more home-grown plants.

Making a difference in the Surrey Hills
Squire's has close connections with schools and local communities, with a particular interest in encouraging new generations of gardeners, and supports local charities through its centres.
It also works with other Surrey Hills organisations: Porky Whites became an approved sausage and formed meats supplier to Squire's café bar restaurants, one example of members trading with one another across the network.
