Surrey Hills organisations get a new mark to be proud of

Farnham, 22 September 2026 – Surrey Hills Enterprises launches ‘Proudly Surrey Hills’, alongside a new website designed to connect, support and promote organisations across the Surrey Hills.

Surrey Hills Enterprises has launched Proudly Surrey Hills, a new member mark for its growing business community, alongside a completely redesigned website making it easier for organisations to connect, collaborate and contribute to a thriving, sustainable Surrey Hills economy.

The launch marks an important evolution for Surrey Hills Enterprises, the Community Interest Company connecting more than 240 businesses, charities and organisations with an economic interest in the Surrey Hills.

Introducing Proudly Surrey Hills

At the heart of the launch is Proudly Surrey Hills, a new member mark which will gradually replace the existing Trade Mark Surrey Hills.

The change follows market research and conversations with businesses, members and partners. While the Trade Mark has played an important role for many years, research found that customers and visitors did not always immediately understand what it represented.

Proudly Surrey Hills has been created as a simpler and more recognisable way for organisations to demonstrate their connection to the Surrey Hills and the values that underpin Surrey Hills Enterprises: local, quality and sustainable.

All Surrey Hills Enterprises members will be able to use the new Proudly Surrey Hills mark on their websites, marketing, products and premises, creating one strong and recognisable identity across the membership community.

Existing Trade Mark holders will have a 12-month transition period, while businesses previously awarded the Gold Trade Mark will retain their Gold recognition and can continue to display it.

Announced in style

Fittingly for a mark rooted in local tradition, Proudly Surrey Hills was formally announced to members at a networking evening at the Bush Hotel, Farnham, on 22 September with the Farnham Town Crier delivering the news in full ceremonial style.

“Oyez! Oyez! Oyez! Let it be known throughout the Surrey Hills that a new mark of distinction has arrived! From this day forth, Proudly Surrey Hills shall stand as the emblem of our finest local businesses, charities and organisations, a badge of quality, community and pride for all to see! God save the Surrey Hills!”

The proclamation brought a memorable touch of pageantry to the launch, and members in attendance received the news with much enthusiasm and excitement.

A new digital home for Surrey Hills businesses

Launching alongside Proudly Surrey Hills is a completely redesigned Surrey Hills Enterprises website, created specifically for businesses, charities and organisations.

The new website provides a clearer route into the Surrey Hills business community, whether an organisation is considering membership, looking for practical business support, interested in partnership opportunities or wants to become more involved in the Surrey Hills.

• A dedicated Member Hub bringing together member resources, training and support.
• A growing library of practical business resources covering marketing, SEO, AI, communications and sustainability.

The website also explains more clearly the close relationship between Surrey Hills Enterprises and Surrey Hills National Landscape, and how a strong local economy can contribute to a well-cared-for landscape and thriving communities.
