Squire’s marks 90 years with flowers, fizz and Rose Festival
By Surrey Hills Enterprises ·

Squire’s Garden Centres invited customers to celebrate the beauty of summer and 90 years of gardening heritage with two special events in June: a Flowers & Fizz Evening at all centres excluding Chertsey, and the much-loved annual Rose Festival Weekend at Squire’s Shepperton.
Flowers & Fizz Evening, Thursday 18 June, 5–8pm. Guests received a complimentary glass of fizz on arrival and enjoyed live music in a relaxed, sociable setting, with exclusive discounts across the plant collection and Plant Experts on hand to share practical planting advice. Each centre created an Anniversary Show Garden display to mark 90 years, and Squire’s Café Bars served summer salads and flatbreads from 5pm to 7pm. No booking required.
Rose Festival Weekend 2026, Saturday 27 June 12.30–5pm and Sunday 28 June 10.30am–4pm at Squire’s Garden Centre, Halliford Road, Shepperton TW17 8SG. Free entry, no booking required. Held in partnership with The Rose Society UK, the festival features the prestigious National Rose Show, now in its 49th year, showcasing exceptional blooms from expert growers across the country, plus floral art installations by Walton & Weybridge Flower Club, live music and BBQ demonstrations.
Colin Squire OBE, Chairman Emeritus of Squire’s Garden Centres and President of The Rose Society UK, said: “We’re proud to host the Rose Festival Weekend as part of our 90th anniversary celebrations. It’s a true celebration of the rose, its growers and the joy it brings — and a fantastic weekend for everyone to come and enjoy.”
