By Surrey Hills Enterprises ·

Farmers and growers across Surrey are being invited to apply for a share of a new £500,000 funding programme designed to help modernise businesses, improve productivity and strengthen the future of farming.
The Surrey Farming Innovation Accelerator, funded by Surrey County Council, offers 100% grant funding of up to £35,000 for digital projects that will help agricultural businesses become more efficient, resilient and adaptable. Alongside financial support, successful applicants receive six months of expert business support, including specialist consultancy, training courses and peer-to-peer learning.
The programme is open to Surrey-based small and medium-sized enterprises whose primary activity involves owning, renting or actively managing agricultural or rural land. Potential projects could include precision farming technology, digital monitoring systems, automation, new diversification initiatives or other innovative solutions that improve long-term sustainability and resilience.
Applications are open now and must be submitted by 16 August 2026, with successful projects beginning their support programme in September 2026. Full details on eligibility, project ideas and the application process are available on the Business Surrey Farming Innovation Accelerator webpage.
